Your first Sunday at Redeemer
The service is ancient but may be unfamiliar to you. The Scripture readings are still more ancient but will be applied to your mind and your heart. The congregation has a long history but is very much alive. God is present here with His Word and His Sacraments. Come as you are whenever you come, but you will not leave the same.
You can watch videos of all our services including all the sermons here.

The Service
All our services come from the Lutheran Service Book, and our hymns are found there, too. The service and the hymns are centuries-old yet fresh and real. We love to sing God’s praise and glory in our time-honored liturgy and hymnody.
The Scriptures
We believe the Bible is God’s Word - full stop. In every service we read two or three Scripture readings, and the pastor explains what they mean and what God teaches us in those Scriptures. Our life in Christ flows from God’s Word, so we treat the reading of His Word with the seriousness it deserves.
The Holy Communion
Communion is the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ since He said “This is My Body…this is My Blood.” We receive Christ’s Body and Blood in every Divine Service. We practice closed Communion - only LCMS Lutherans receive Communion at Redeemer’s altar - because our pastor is accountable to God for the souls under his care (Hebrews 13:17) and we are accountable to each other at the Lord’s table (1 Corinthians 10:14-17).
… Therefore we ought and must constantly maintain this point, that God does not wish to deal with us otherwise than through the spoken Word and the Sacraments.
Smalcald Articles VIII:10
Holy Baptism
We believe that everyone must believe in Christ and be baptized (Mark 16:16). In Baptism you are joined to Christ’s death and resurrection. If you or someone you love has not been baptized, get in touch with us about receiving God’s grace in Holy Baptism.
